Slow Motion

Right after I filled out my tax forms online yesterday, the screen to the 'good' laptop flickered then went black.
Still black this morning so I pulled this old Canadian laptop out of the box and plugged it in.
Now I do have a 3/4 screen on this one but... this is the one that overheats and shuts off ever 1/2 hour or so.
So bear with me as I decide what to do today.
Thinking it's time for a brand new laptop :(
Ouch

Wow! My taxes are pretty bad this year and I'm sorry your taxes blew up your computer!!! With the way mine usually works out, I better not even try it on my computer. Just kidding! Hopefully you can get a new computer or monitor with your tax refund!!! Positive thining!

Hope your day is good.

Hey Randy,
Well I do the turbo tax thing and it's saved on my other laptop.
I did get restless and go shopping today. Bought a new Toshiba laptop but need a day or two to get it up to snuff. Wish me luck!

You might want to see what it would cost first to repair it.
As for the one your using, you could buy a laptop cooler which you could even continue to use on a different laptop later. That might only cost around 20.00 and keep it from overheating.

Well yes, I will have the 'better one' repaired soon.
The overheating one... I already have the cooler under it and a fan blowing on it. Still overheats. I think one of the fans is Out on that one and it's not worth saving any longer :(
Thanks for the suggestions :)
